As you know, we have experienced extraordinary weather conditions this year which resulted in several days of school closure.  We realize that every missed day of school represents lost learning opportunities, however, our primary concern is for the safety of all students, families and staff.  When students cannot travel safely to and from school, we believe that canceling classes until conditions improve is the right decision. In order to recoup lost hours from the eight snow days we’ve had this year, our School Board has approved the following changes to our calendar:

February 20, Presidents Day – regular school day

March 17th, Teacher Work Day – regular school day

The above days were originally scheduled as no-school days for students, however, we will be holding classes in order to make up some missed hours of instruction.  Please be sure to update your calendar to reflect that your students will attend school on these days. We understand that in some rare cases, you might have made irreversible travel arrangements for these days, such as an airline ticket purchase. If this is the case, please contact the office as soon as possible so we can note it as an excused absence. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the office.
